The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport made an unusual discovery during a routine security check earlier this week. Officers Douglas Linn and Dennis Oishi retrieved a claw-like device from a passenger’s carry-on luggage on Tuesday, a find that evoked astonishment and concern alike.
“I noticed three blades and distinct claw-like features,” Linn remarked. “I was taken aback, especially when the object emerged from the bag. In my two years with the TSA, I have never encountered anything like this.”

In their announcement regarding the incident, the TSA reported that the passenger had forgotten the device was in their bag until it was revealed by Officer Oishi. The individual chose to abandon the item voluntarily at the checkpoint, allowing the security process to proceed without further complications.
