Will Wade took the high road. At his press conference, he refused to comment on RJ Luis because “they’re going to use my words against me.” We break down why that showed real maturity, whether LSU should roster Luis and risk a war with the SEC, and what going independent would really mean. Plus, big news: five-star point guard Reese Alston commits to LSU, joining King Gibson and Ahmad Hudson and pushing Will Wade’s 2027 class past UConn for No. 1 in the country.
Then it’s bye week, which means LSU vs Alabama Keys to Victory, Part 1. This game will be won or lost by the six players in the interior of both lines. We cover pressuring Keelan Russell into mistakes, why Ty Benefield is the second-biggest X factor against Bama’s physical tight end room, why Lotzeir Brooks in the slot is the receiver who worries us most, and how LSU’s RPOs and Sam Leavitt’s legs can attack an undisciplined Alabama defense. We also share early thoughts on Jay Johnson and LSU baseball.
