Honkai: Star Rail is inching ever closer to an official release, with pre-registration going live this morning. If you’re unfamiliar with the game, Honkai: Star Rail is an upcoming space fantasy RPG from HoYoverse, the team behind the massively popular Genshin Impact. Like Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail will be open-world. It will also feature a growing list of playable characters (it is a gacha game after all), and feature everything from high-quality voice acting to turn-based combat.
When it releases (seemingly) at some point later this year, it’ll be available on Android, iOS, and PC through the Epic Games Store. Interestingly enough, it will not be available on PS4 or PS5 like Genshin Impact. Which seems like a strange choice given the popularity of that game and its popularity on the console. Platforms aside, the game is also going through its final closed beta which started today.
Honkai: Star Rail pre-registration comes with in-game rewards
This is likely obvious to most people who play a ton of mobile games. As many studios will set up pre-registration rewards to increase engagement and, it seems to almost always work. Honkai: Star Rail is no different and is offering players a ton of rewards for pre-registering for the game. And the more people that pre-register, the better the rewards get.
New sets of rewards will be given out as the pre-registration numbers reach specific milestones. A task which shouldn’t be hard for Honkai: Star Rail seeing as it has already surpassed 1 million registrants and it’s only day 1. HoYoverse hasn’t confirmed an official launch date yet. It does however say that the launch date will be revealed soon.
