Funny how time flies. It seems like only yesterday that we were all excitedly telling each other about a brilliantly bizarre new tower defense game called The Battle Cats.
Now it’s turning 8.
To celebrate this milestone, developer PONOS Corporation is holding a massive 8th Anniversary event.
Due to run from 11am on September 12th until 10:59am on October 10th, the event will give you the chance to enjoy new content, claim free goodies, and pick stuff up at bargain prices.
Here are some of the highlights.
We’ll start with Dynasty Fest, since that’s the part of the event that’s over the soonest. Dynasty Fest is a set of Rare Capsules containing Uber Rare heroes, and it comes to an end at 10:59am on September 16th.
To draw from those capsules you’ll need Cat Food, so it would be a good idea to visit the Wildcat Slots first. Here you’ll find a free spin waiting for you, with 777 Cat Food or more to follow.
Completing the final stage of Empire of Cats Chapter 1, meanwhile, will earn you a Special Mission Reward – namely, a Platinum Ticket. This gets you a Special Capsule draw, which means a guaranteed Uber Rare Cat hero.
And you can add even further to your feline army by clearing the Minced Meet-Up and Thank-You Sales stages, both of which are exclusive to the global version. This will enable you to unlock Special Hero Catburger in its third True Form.
There’s an abundance of XP up for grabs, too, including 30,000,000 for taking part in the new All-Stars Grateful Gathering stage. You can supplement this with visits to the new Heavenly Tower Cat Citadel stages.
On top of all that there are login bonuses to claim, some timed expedition areas, a new All-Stars Super Present DX map, a new Arena of Honor ranking event, some Limited Invasion stages, and tons more.
We haven’t even mentioned the discounts, which are legion. For instance, you can get your hands on some half-price Special Cats during four separate sales between September 16th and October 9th.
