The iPhone Duo, which launched only a few weeks ago, is receiving continual software enhancements from Apple. The latest update, now available in the iOS 27.3 beta, introduces key modifications to the device’s keyboard.
iOS 27.3 Enhances One-Handed Usability for iPhone Duo
Users fortunate enough to have acquired the iPhone Duo near its launch date may have noticed that software updates are rapidly enhancing their device experience.
Initially released with iOS 27.1, the device saw an update to iOS 27.2 just days later, which brought support for Apple Pencil and Edge Light functionality for video calls.
Now, barely a week after the last update, the iOS 27.3 beta is already introducing additional improvements.
Among these updates is the Reachability feature, which allows users to slide content on the outer display to either side, improving accessibility. According to Beta Profiles shared on X, notable adjustments have also been made to the keyboard layout.
The revamped keyboard offers narrower keys and a reduced font size, significantly streamlining typing on the iPhone Duo’s outer screen, particularly for one-handed use.
While the changes may seem minor, early testers have reported a noticeable enhancement in usability.
The combination of these keyboard modifications and the Reachability feature presents a significant improvement to the overall one-handed experience of the iPhone Duo.
