“No such plans for India and Pakistan Test series in future or in any country, if someone has such kind of wish keep it to yourself,” a BCCI source told news agency Asian News International (ANI) on the subject which has resurfaced in recent days.
“Absolutely. Three [Tests] in a row would be lovely at the MCG. You’d fill it every time. We have asked. We’ve taken that up with Cricket Australia. I know the [Victoria] government has as well. Again, it’s enormously complicated from what I can understand, amongst a really busy schedule. So I think that’s probably the greater challenge,” Fox said on SEN Radio.
India and Pakistan have not played each other in a Test match since 2007. The teams have not played any bilateral series since January 2013. India have not visited Pakistan for any cricketing commitment since 2008.
MCG had hosted the dramatic India-Pakistan clash in the 2022 T20 World Cup which saw a jam-packed crowd of 90,293 fans.
