HARROWING footage reportedly shows the moment a Russian pharma boss and media mogul dies in a mysterious parachute accident.
Businessman Sergey Tsyganov, 52, plunged to his death during a parachute jump that went wrong near Kolomna in Moscow, local media reports.
A horror video shared on Telegram channel SHOT shows the parachutist in the air at high speed before he smashes to the ground with his chute seeming to be only partially open.
He was rushed to hospital in critical condition but could not be saved, Life.ru reported.
Local media said that Tsyganov, an experienced parachutist, travelled from Ryazan to Moscow region specifically for skydiving.
He made a jump at the Korobcheevo airfield from a Mi-8 helicopter.
According to information from Ryazan, the helicopter was 4,000m above the ground when Tsyganov attempted to perform a U-turn at about 200ft before crashing.
An investigation into the incident has reportedly been launched.
Tsyganov, from Ryazan, Russia, was the director of the Invitro medical clinics in the area.
He previously owned radio stations Europe Plus Ryazan and Russian RadioRyazan.
He lived in Ryazan with his wife and his young son.
His reported passing follows a string of mysterious deaths of high-profile Russians.
