Job description
The Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) in Boulder, Colorado is seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Scientist (Laboratory-Field Technical Coordinator) to join the NOAA Global Monitoring Laboratory (GML). At GML, we are responsible for long-term monitoring of atmospheric concentrations of gases that impact climate, stratospheric ozone, and human health. GML also serves as the Central Calibration Laboratory for the World Meteorological Organization Global Atmosphere Watch Programme. As such, GML maintains primary calibration scales and disseminates internationally recognized greenhouse gas standards to the atmospheric monitoring community. The successful candidate will lead efforts to prepare, analyze, and distribute whole-air gas standards used by researchers within GML and world-wide for calibration of greenhouse gas measurement systems.
The University of Colorado Boulder is committed to building a culturally diverse community of faculty, staff, and students dedicated to contributing to an inclusive campus environment. We are an Equal Opportunity employer, including veterans and individuals with disabilities.
