It’s a big night of tennis at Wimbledon with two Aussies in action on Court 1 in the Wimbledon quarter-finals including Ajla Tomljanovic in the women’s singles and Nick Kyrgios in the men’s.
Tomljanovic plays her quarterfinal against Elena Rybakina from 10pm AEST.
Nick Kyrgios will immediately follow that match on Court 1 against Chile’s Cristian Garin who defeated another Australian in Alex De Minaur in the fourth round.
Kyrgios overcame American Brandon Nakashima in a tight five-set encounter to reach the quarter-finals for the second time in his career at Wimbledon.
Kyrgios goes into the match with even more publicity than usual after being summonsed to Canberra for a court case in August.
The 27-year-old has made no secret that he prefers the outside courts more than Centre Court and it will be interesting to see if he is more animated for this match than he was on the much more reserved corporate feel of Centre Court.
What time is Nick Kyrgios playing?
Kyrgios-Garin is the second match on Court 1 and follows fellow Aussie Ajla Tomljanovic who is in her women’s quarterfinal.
It depends how long the women’s match goes for but the Kyrgios match is unlikely to start before 12:00am on Thursday morning AEST.
Those in South Australia will need to tune in from 11:30pm and those in Western Australia will be able to catch the match from around 10pm onwards.
How to watch Nick Kyrgios’ match
Channel 9 and Stan Sport own the rights to Wimbledon for Australian audiences.
If you want to watch the match on normal free to air television you’ll need to tune into either Channel 9’s main channel (Channel 90 in metro areas) or 9GEM (channel 92 in metro areas) depending on where you are.
If you’d prefer to watch the match on a live stream you have two options with the free 9Now service or the paid subscription service Stan Sport which is ad-free. You can get a 7-day free trial with Stan Sport before you are charged a monthly minimum depending on which package you want.
