Toronto Raptors star Pascal Siakam has a “robust” trade market, according to NBA insider Michael Grange of Sportsnet.
The Sacramento Kings, Indiana Pacers and Atlanta Hawks are interested in acquiring Siakam from the Raptors, multiple sources told NBA Analysis Network.
“According to league sources I’ve spoken with there is expected to be a fairly robust market for the Raptors veteran, though maybe not the slam dunk of return that makes the deal a no-brainer,” Grange wrote. “The Raptors, under president and general manager Masai Ujiri, aren’t known for selling low.”
Siakam is in the final year of his contract. The NBA champion is averaging 21.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.0 assists this season while shooting 50.4% from the field, 25.3% from beyond the arc and 74.0% from the free-throw line.
NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Pascal Siakam, Toronto Raptors Updates
Most people around the NBA expect the Raptors to trade Siakam before the trade deadline in February.
“I don’t worry about that. I just live my life and try to be the best I can be every day,” Siakam told Grange about being in trade rumors. “I don’t think about it. It’s not part of what I do. I control what I can control. I’ve always understood that, and I’m getting better at it and I’m actually really good at it now.”
Siakam has career averages of 17.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists. He has made two All-Star teams and two All-NBA teams. The swingman helped the Raptors win the 2019 championship over the Golden State Warriors in six games.
