Researchers have studied the escalation of antibiotic resistance in the UK and Norway over the past two decades, highlighting that the surge in resistance is not solely attributed to the use of antibiotics.
For the first time, a study has examined the influence of antibiotic consumption on the growth of drug-resistant bacteria in the UK and Norway over the past two decades. The findings indicate that although the escalation in antibiotic usage has contributed to the proliferation of superbugs, other factors are also at play.
