Deputy Liberal Leader Sussan Ley has criticised the government’s possible ministerial code of conduct breach involving shareholdings – and says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese needs to answer for it.
“Another day, another breach of the Prime Minister’s code of conduct,” Ms Ley said.
We went into Question Time with three ministers facing questions about their shareholdings and came out with six ministers being named.”
Ms Ley said the breaches were an “unfolding crisis” which goes back to July 8 – and labelled the scandal “almost a farce”.
“Questions do need to be answered by this Prime Minister and for him to simply dismiss them in Question Time the way he has been with his attitude of laughing and pointing and not taking this seriously, well, I think there really are serious questions to answer,” she said.
