Doctors are calling for tighter restrictions on the misuse of nitrous oxide cartridges – also known as ‘nangs’ – due to the rise of 24-hour delivery services that provide easy access to partygoers, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
The nitrous gas is used in kitchens to whip cream, but has since become popular among recreational drug users.
The Therapeutic Goods Administration says it will look into imposing further restrictions.
