Legendary rapper Eminem announced a surprise trip down memory lane.
“The Real Slim Shady” hitmaker announced his second greatest-hits album, titled “Curtain Call 2,” will be released on Aug. 5.
The compilation album follows the rapper’s 2005 hit record, “Curtain Call: The Hits” and will include music from Eminem’s more recent work from 2009’s “Relapse” onward.
The rapper also teased an unreleased song the album will include, as well as guest appearances and film soundtrack songs.
Fans will be able to get their hands on a limited edition box set as well as autographed vinyl.
The first “Curtain Call” album was unleashed into the world in December 2005 and was quickly recognized as certified Diamond in the US. The album housed some of the rapper’s hit classics such as “My Name Is,” “Stan,” and “Without Me.”
The news comes hot on the heels of Eminem’s latest release, titled “From the D 2 the LBC” — a hit song featuring rapper Snoop Dogg.
The song – and its accompanying music video — made its global premiere on June 23, and will serve as the lead single from the rapper’s upcoming album.
The song followed the release of Eminem’s track, “The King and I,” for which he teamed up with CeeLo Green. The track was part of the soundtrack for Baz Luhrmann’s “Elvis” biopic.
“Along with the two recently released songs, there will be one additional previously unreleased track on the collection, to be revealed in the coming weeks,” according to his website.
