Passengers hoping to board the Eurostar from London to Paris have been experiencing delays once again today (June 5). There are unconfirmed reports that passengers are unable to travel due to a problem with the overhead power supply near the French capital.
In scenes similar to the travel chaos at the Eurostar last week, there are pictures of long queues, with some passengers reporting waits of up to seven hours before leaving the UK capital for Paris. One passenger complained on Twitter saying: “Stuck on the Eurostar to Paris and the sandwiches onboard might be worse than the 7-hour delay.”
There have been strong thunderstorms throughout the French capital, which is thought to have possibly damaged the power supply, causing delays to travel between the two countries.
MyLondon has contacted Eurostar for comment.
