- He urged artistes to be churning out clean content if they want to prosper as it attracts a universal audience
Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) CEO Ezekiel Mutua has explained why he always promotes clean content.
Why Ezekiel Mutua promotes clean content
Speaking exclusively to TUKO.co.ke during the seventh edition of the annual Kenya Fashion Awards, Mutua stated that clean content sells like hot cake since Kenya is a Christian country.
According to him, many Kenyans prefer consuming decent content to obscene ones.

Ruto won because he was more religious
To prove his point, Mutua analogised that President William Ruto beat his opponents to win the top seat because he was more religious.
“Kenyan artistes must always produce clean content if they want to prosper because Kenya is dominated by Christians. We saw what happened in the just-conclude General Election. William Ruto won because he was more religious than other presidential candidates. That’s why many people voted for him,” Mutua said.
The former Kenya Film and Classification Board (KFCB) boss also noted that he won’t give up on the campaign.
He vowed to work closely with the new government to enhance the affairs of Kenyan musicians.
