Max Verstappen starts Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix on pole, with an opportunity to put more distance between him and his rivals in the championship.
The Dutchman secured pole position by almost half a second on Saturday, while his nearest rival and teammate Sergio Perez could not even make the top-10.
Australian Oscar Piastri will begin the race in the top-10 after a solid qualifying session, while his McLaren teammate Lando Norris will start third.
The Spanish crowd will be willing on their fellow countrymen Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso. who start second and eighth respectively.
