Netizens that are Nigerians have come to the defend their star girl, Tems after a Ugandan blog referred to her as a former inmate while reporting on her Grammy Awards’ win.
Tems recently won her first Grammy in the “Best Melodious Rap” category alongside future and Drake for their collaboration, “Wait for You“.
It will noted that while reporting on Tems feat, The Ugandan Media company, Urban Television on Twitter referred to the Nigerian singer as a former inmate.
Urban Television claimed that Tems shot to fame in Uganda as a result of her 2020 arrest.
It will be recalled that in 2020, Tems and Omah Lay were both arrested in Uganda for alleging flouting COVID-19 rules and performing to a large crowd but the singers were released afterwards.
