Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose served a special shout out to iconic Auckland burger joint The White Lady following the rock band’s visit to NZ.
As the Australasian leg of their world tour wrapped up on the weekend, Rose shared his thanks to the cities they performed in on Twitter.
“A HUGE THANK YOU to Perth, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney, Adelaide n’ Melbourne Australia!! And a HUGE THANKS to Wellington n’ Auckland New Zealand!!,” the singer tweeted.

“And of course a shout out to White Lady’s!!”
The White Lady’s co-owner Max Washer, whose grandfather Bryan started the food truck in the mid 1940s, buzzed over the love shown to the family-owned business by a world renowned rockstar.
“We really appreciate Axl Rose and Guns N’ Roses for the support,” co-owner Washer told Stuff.
“We heard through various sources they were big fans, and they requested for us to cater, so we had a truck backstage for the crew and band.”
The White Lady’s burgers aren’t a new discovery for the Sweet Child O Mine hit makers – on their last visit in 2017, the band and crew apparently frequented the burger joint’s Central Auckland location.
“They asked us to cater for their last concert in 2017, but it was kind of a last-minute, on the day thing,” Washer said.
While they couldn’t get a truck to the rock stars, Washer and his sister Maia went to the gig and supplied the band with burgers.
As for the rock legend’s burger of choice? Washer couldn’t give specifics, but says their classic The White Lady and The Aucklander burgers were specifically requested by the crew.
