When we pack our bags and plan for an exciting flight the next day, comfort is often the first thing that comes to mind.
For many, an old pair of shorts are the perfect thing to wear to the airport. They’re comfy, convenient and will fit perfectly to the warmer climate of our destination.
But a flight attendant has revealed there are a few things we should be avoiding on flights – one of them is shorts, another is resting your head on the window, reports The Star.

The advice likely to make you squirm, came from a flight attendant on TikTok, @tommycimato, who shared some hygiene and health advice for passengers.
Tommy said: “Do not fall asleep or lean your head on the window.
“You are not the only one that has done that and you don’t know how many people or children have wiped their hands or other things all over the window.”
The “or other things” is especially chilling.
Tommy didn’t stop there: “Don’t or try not to wear shorts when you’re on an airplane.
“It’s the same thing as the window – you never know how clean it’s going to be, so if you have pants, you’re going to have less germs.”
Tommy’s tips were extremely germ-focused, which is perhaps helpful to flyers anxious about catching Covid while in the air.

“Do not ever touch the flush button with your bare hands. It’s honestly just super unsanitary and pretty gross, so when you flush, use a napkin or tissue that’s in the lavatory,” he said.
Tommy was also keen to encourage passengers to stay hydrated, and not to be scared to ask the cabin crew if you need any help or assistance.
