Sri Lanka introduced a revised travel advisory where all Indians who travel to Sri Lanka need to carry their vaccination cards, and unvaccinated travellers will be required to carry a negative PCR report, which has been obtained 72 hours prior to arrival in the country.
With this, the country has discontinued the mandatory requirement of producing the COVID-19 vaccination certificate for international travellers on December 7, 2022.
The requirement of producing a pre-boarding or on-arrival negative COVID-19 test (PCR/Rapid Antigen Test) (RAT) was also removed.
The revised COVID-19 guidelines have been put into place from Friday, following which the Indian High Commission issued a statement advising Indian nationals visiting Sri Lanka to comply with the latest COVID-19 guidelines.
