Kai Havertz is closer to signing his deal with Chelsea from Bayer Leverkusen after the clubs agree to pay €80m plus €20m in add-ons for the player. Chelsea who has been talking to the German club for some weeks over a deal and has finalized to pay £89m for Havertz.
Kai Havertz who is eager to join Chelsea has not done his medical. And he is still with the German national team for their UEFA Nations League fixtures with Switzerland and Spain. Chelsea recorded a previous club-record deal when they signed Kepa Arizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao for £71.6m in 2018.
