In a notice to Nairobi commuters, Kenya Railways stated that the train services would be suspended starting Thursday, December 22, 2022.
According to KR, the suspension is due to low passenger turnout as a result of the ongoing December festive season and holiday breaks.
“We wish to notify our customers that the Nairobi Commuter Rail Service trains to and from Ruiru, Embakasi Village, Syokimau and Lukenya in Kitengela will not run from Thursday, December 22,” read the statement in part.
