A parole board member falling asleep during the parole hearing of Leigh Matthews’ murderer, Donovan Moodley, could call into question the integrity of the decision made.
Moodley has been fighting to get out of prison since his life imprisonment sentence for the 2004 murder of Matthews, whom he abducted from Bond University and held captive while demanding ransom money from her family.
After receiving R50 000 from Matthews’ father, Moodley shot her three times instead of letting her go.
