A man was found dead in a park this morning with facial injuries.
Police were called at around 8.10am to reports of an unresponsive man in Shrewsbury Park, Greenwich.
Police and London Ambulance Service attended the scene and found a man with injuries to his face. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have begun enquiries to identify the man and notify next of kin.
A crime scene remains in place at the location.
A spokesman from the Met said: “There have been no arrests a this point and the Met’s Specialist Crime Command has been notified.
“Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC quoting reference CAD 1394/15DEC.
“You can also provide information 100 per cent anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or by visiting crimestoppers-uk.org.”
