National Cabinet is set to decide this afternoon whether to lower the COVID isolation period to five days.
NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet is pushing for the change, but Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews says he doesn’t want to make up his mind until he sees the health advice from the AHPPC.
However, the two premiers agree the Pandemic Leave Disaster Payments from the Commonwealth would need to be extended beyond September if the seven-day isolation were to continue.
