Nick Cannon and Lanisha Cole enjoyed a sacred Sunday with their baby girl. The entertainer joined his daughter’s mother in church as they dedicated their little one to God.
The christening service is a Christian tradition in which children are prayed over, baptized, and welcomed into the Christian community. They are also “given back to God,” which is a notion that comes from a passage in scripture in which Hannah gives birth to her son, Samuel, and brings him back to the temple to grow up after nursing him. Samuel grows up to become a prophet in the text.
Nick and Lanisha’s daughter, Onyx, was the epitome of precious during her christening ceremony. The little one rested in her father’s arms throughout the service. “Such a beautiful Sunday,” Nick said of the ceremony. “Onyx Ice Cole Cannon was dedicated to Yahweh today,” the entertainer exclaimed.
Nick Cannon and Lanisha Cole welcomed their daughter last month. Onyx was born on September 14, 2022.
“Once again Today I am in Awe of the Divine Feminine,” Nick told his social media fans after Lanisha gave birth. “God has given me and @MissLanishaCole the privilege of hosting an Angel here on earth,” he continued.
“I vow to protect, provide, guide, and love this child to the best of my abilities,” Nick declared. “I am learning that it is not the limited amount of time we have on this planet but it’s the limited amount of love that is the issue. And I promise to love this little girl with all my heart, regardless of what anyone says.”
Onyx made Nick Cannon a father for the ninth time. Some have scrutinized the entertainer for having children with multiple women. Nick, however, has made it abundantly clear that he is procreating as instructed by the Bible.
Onyx became a big sister to Nick Cannon and Brittany Bell’s third child together who was also born last month. The little one is her mother’s first child.
