Brandon Ingram has only appeared in 15 games for the New Orleans Pelicans so far this NBA season. He has been dealing with a big toe injury and has been sidelined for the last two months.
Ingram’s most recent performance occurred on Nov. 25, in the Pelicans’ blowout loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. That is on track to change after tonight’s NBA action.
According to The Athletic, Ingram will return to the Pelicans’ lineup when the team takes on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.
“I didn’t think it would take this long,” Ingram said after practice Tuesday. “But I had to listen to my body before I got back on the floor with my teammates and before I got back to playing basketball.”
Ingram explained further: “I feel like I’m a fresher body than everybody else. Everybody beat up. I’ve just had a chance to let my body rest for a little bit and come back off of injury.”
