Kenya Airways (KQ) has been crowned Africa’s Leading Airline by the World Travel Awards 2022.
The National carrier bagged four prestigious awards, reaffirming its status as the Pride of Africa.

World Travel Awards 2022 nominated KQ alongside EgyptAir, Ethiopian Airlines, Royal Air Maroc, RwandAir, South African Airways and Tunisair.

KQ scooped the African leading award for two consecutive years (2021 and 2022) after staying off the card since 2016.
“We’re elated to reaffirm our prestige as the Pride of Africa after clinching four (4) awards at the prestigious 2022 World Travel Awards,” said KQ in a tweet.
Other awards, the national carrier walked away with include Africa’s Leading Airline Brand 2022, Africa’s Leading Airline – Business Class 2022, and Africa’s Leading Inflight Magazine 2022 (Msafiri).

Kenya Airways Chief Executive Officer Allan Kilavuka noted the airline is committed to offering world-class and customer-based services.
Kilavuka said this has earned them the title of the Pride of Africa.
“We have consistently optimised our operations, and that determination has been clearly recognised by our customers and we are honoured to be recognised,” said Kilavuka.
