Following a United Rugby Championship (URC) campaign which sees them lie 15th on the 16-team table with one win from eight matches – and an embarrassing Challenge Cup loss to the Cheetahs – the assumption would have been the Sharks have been hard at work over the last fortnight.
But news filtering out of the Kingdom is that, if anything, they took the time to take a breather before gathering themselves for what could soon be a Mission Impossible-esque climb to the all-important eighth place on the URC table not only to sneak into the knock-out stages, but also to work their way back into the Champions Cup.
