A two-day Ukraine Recovery Conference started Wednesday in London, the second such event during the conflict aiming to rally international and private-sector support for Ukraine’s postwar recovery.
The British government said it would outline a package of financial support for Ukraine that includes $3 billion of World Bank loan guarantees over the next three years to boost Ukraine’s economic stability as it fights Russian forces. The conference on rebuilding a country still at war comes as fighting rages in eastern Ukraine and drone attacks target cities from the capital Kyiv to the western city of Lviv.
