Expectations can’t always align with reality. That’s true for NBA teams.
That’s one of life’s hard facts. If you go around assuming everything will work out the way you hoped, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment.
Every offseason, there are teams who set a high bar for themselves. Every season, some of them don’t meet that bar.
This year, the Minnesota Timberwolves are one of those teams. So are the Los Angeles Clippers.
Both of these teams had expectations of contention that they’re well short of.
