All NBA players age. Some just do it more gracefully than others.
Some players fall off rapidly. They were just a star – why are they suddenly useless? Such is life in the National Basketball Association – for some, that is.
Others are able to age gracefully. A former star, fringe star, or starter can prolong his career if he’s able to transition into a quality role player.
For example, look at Thaddeus Young of the Toronto Raptors. Earlier in his career, he was pegged for stardom.
With that said, he’s managed to stick around by developing into a low-usage player a coach can trust in his rotation.
Could the Mavericks acquire him this season?
