UK development finance institution British International Investment has announced a new commitment for two wind farms currently under construction.
The UK’s development finance institution, British International Investment, has announced a R125 million investment in two 140MW wind farms in the Northern and Eastern Cape.
The two wind farms are currently being developed by EDF Renewables and H1 Capital and are set to be completed in 2024.
British International Investment (BII) has backed a number of renewable energy projects in South Africa, including independent power producer projects by Globeleq and ACWA Power’s Redstone Concentrated Solar Power Project.
