In case you missed it, people attending fitness or dance classes in NSW will no longer be required to wear a mask after Health Minister Brad Hazzard signed an amendment to the state’s public health order yesterday afternoon.
Masks were previously required while taking part in exercise classes, although they were not required while exercising on the gym floor.
Gym attendees will still need to wear masks while in reception or changeroom areas, however they can remove them while exercising.

“This is another great step forward for fully vaccinated gym lovers, as restrictions continue to ease in NSW,” Sports Minister Natalie Ward said.
“It’s important people are able to exercise in as much comfort as possible, so I’m really pleased it will no longer be a requirement for masks to be worn.”
People who have received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine are able to attend gyms and other indoor fitness studios in NSW.
